During my time SERVING YOU, we have accomplished the following: WATER/WASTE WATER/NATURAL GAS/STREETS I. 2 MILLION GALLONWATER TANK -Refinished exterior of tank bringing it into Federal and State regulatory compliance 2. 300,000 GALLON DISTRIBUTION WATER TANK - New tank built 3. NEW $3 MILLION DOLLAR WATER TREATMENT PLANT .. Built new water treatment plant to lower natural fluoride in our water and bring the City into Federal regulatory compliance .. Financing accomplished by $2,980,000 awarded in Grants with City share of $20,000 4. NEW WATER LINES, WATER VALVES, FIRE HYDRANTS installed throughoutthe City 5. NEW GAS PIPE - New gas pipe installed in 99.9% of the City's 30 miles of gas lines 6. NEW DISTRIBUTION WATER PUMPS, HI TECH INSTRUMENTATION, ALARMS, SCADA COMPUTER SYSTEM - This state of the art equipment results in more efficient water distribution 7, CITY STREETS - miles of streets paved in every section of the City 8. NEW 1.8 MILLION GALLON WATER TANK - Construction scheduled to begin 9. ADA COMPLIANT MOTEL DRIVE SIDEWALKS :. $500,000.00 grant awarded for thls project 10. $1.3 MILLION DOLLAR IMPROVEMENTS TO CITY WASTE WATER PLANT - Bids for this construction will soon be released 11. PYRAMID VILLAGE - C!ty owned homes remodeled .. Bids for NEW FENCES released CITY RECREATION 1. NEW swimming pool 2. Lordsburg Special Event Center 3. SHORT PARK - added 3 new Little League baseball fields -- basketball courts .. playground equipment 2. 4. NORTH PARK - remddeled adding restrooms, large shelter and new fences 5. PYRAMID VILLAGE PARK - New playground equipment and sprinkler system 8. VETERANS PARK- Developed NEW Veterans Park to honor and recognize our many veterans BUILDINGS 1. LORDSBURG/HIDALGO COUNTY MUSEUM - successfully negotiated for acquisition of former New Mq National Guard Armory to house our museum PARTNERING WITH HIDALGO COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR FINANCING AND CONSTRUCTION/ACQUISITION of: -. Hidalgo Medical Services Clinic -- Solid Waste Transfer Station -- Present Hidalgo County Sheriff's Administration Building -. Remodel former historic City Hall building to house Lordsburg/Hidalgo County Chamber of Commerce SHAKESPEARE and MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERIES --Installed all new water lines, paved all roads within cemetery and heavy duty chain link fences at both cemeteries PLEXES NEW City Shop Complex NEW Animal Control Shelter Lordsburg Housing Authority .. NEW Administration Building and Maintenance Building i NEW LORDSBURG PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING for: -.Police Department .. Fire Department ' .. I have Worked the Federal Government to build the new $45 million dollar Border Patrol Station which is currently out for bid. I worked hand in hand With State Government and the Port Of entry Staff to build a new Port of Entry, which is under construc. tion. And l am proud of the fact that I was ask by members of the United States Congress to work on federal Stonegarden grants for the Hidalgo County Sheriffs Department and Lordsburg Police Department with the border problems these two great law.enforcement departments deserve all the grant money that can get. I strongly believe in team work and by working with great council members over the years, county commissioners, City Employ- ees, county employees, state employees, federal staff and the great citizens of Lordsburg I can keep progress moving for the future. I am working with 6 different development company's to build homes in Lordsburg. Lordsburg Land Development will soon start building a apartment complex with a retail center with four areas for development. One of those will be occupied by a sports bar and pizza shop. - L CT ARTH U R C LARK i,
