By LORENZO ALBA, JR. Hot summer days are coming! Well over 100 degrees for the last week everyday! And it's baseball season in Lordsburg and around the world ! Sunshine Haven is feeling the heat and loving the season. The facility got together and put together a softball team for this past week's charity tournament at Short Park. The team consisted of staff members, staff member's families and friends. It made for a good time while participating a great community event and a wonderful cause. The team didn't fair to well competi- tively, but in all honestly fun was the name of the game for the team. Yes, the team even had some nice game, jerseys made just for the occasion. Of course some of them were modified by the players, but again it was all for a good time. We are excited to be taking part in community events and will continue to be more and more involved locally. We'd alike to thank all staff member who participated and all the friends and family that drove out to be a part of such a fun event, Afterwards our Administrator Greg Whitaker hosted a BBQ for the team and their families. Thank you Greg for the generosity and that of those team mem- bers who brought some of the food and beverages. Things continue to move along here at Sunshine Haven. We are excited about some of our new residents and families being served by our facility. We invite you to stop by and check us out.., take a tour.., ask us questions.., we are here for you!! Well, see you next week.
