Books are being checked out and logs are coming in. At the first Summer Reading session, Rosie Marquez and Julia Ramirez, above left, channeled their "beach bum" personalities for the event.They helped the youngsters check out books, assisted in the hot potato game and doled out compliments on the sand art bottles the kids made. Above right, Jessica and Journey Sheehan are making an attempt to guess how many ponytail holders, bobby pins and coke caps are in the jar. Summer Reading activities are held each Wednesday in June at 2:00 p.m. at the Library. Books can be checked out daily. Stop by the Library for more information or to sign up for this year's program.
