News from Ena Mitchell Senior Citizens Center By LIBBY KNECHTELIEMSC Hi Everyone! We had our Father's Day party and our lucky dad was Hec- tor Palacio Jr. We want to take this opportu- nity to thank our local mer- chants for donating the gifts for our dad, in- cluding Border Rock Shop/ Verla's Western Wear, the Cottage House for Hector Palacio, donating the boutonniere, Mama Rosa's Pizza, Ramona's Cafr, Saucedo's Super Market, Smith Ford Inc. and Western Auto. Thank you to all! Without your help, our great dad would not feel as special as he does. We really appreciate all that you do! Hector is such a big help for us here at the Center. He goes on the trips and jokes and jollies the others to get out and walk around. He loves to tease others here at the Center. Whenever we need any kind of help, he is the first one to say 'Tm here, what do you need?" He is a member of our Ad- visory Council. Next month we will hold our Fourth of July party. We really Father of the Year have a good time at our parties. We just don't sit around and stare at each other! There are puzzles to try to outdo each other on, the laughter and teasing and other contests. It is a lot of fun. If you don't come, you're miss- ing out! The parties start at 1:00 p.m. and .usually last until 2-2:30 p.m. If you don't come to eat, boy are you missing out there! Everyone has a good time and really enjoys the food. After the meal, the participants enjoy some rousing games of dominoes. You should hear the action that goes on with the game. They re- ally get into it! They also enjoy putting puzzles together and be- fore and after they enjoy going into the exercise room and using the machines. We have, in the last several weeks, had quite a few people who were curious db'out what "that new building was" and were really impressed as to what it looks like inside. So, come on over, check us out and I'm will- ing to bet that you will be im- pressed to. Got to go.
