This event is open to all New Mexico girls, ages 15-18. It is limited to the first 300 girls who register. Registration is now open and the deadline for registration is October 10, 2010. Girls registering before October 1. 2010 receive free registration but thereafter, registration is $25.00. Topics included in this informative conference include: Workshops on diversity, decision=making, and healthy rela- tionships IMPACT Personal Safety - Personal Safety 10l Keynate Speaker, Angela Vigil, Living Empowered Girls Information Fair on higher education, career opportu- nities and youth organizations The Commission is joined in their efforts by Soroptimist Interna- tional of Duke City, the NM Governor's Women's Health Advisory Council and the University of New Mexico Women's Resource. There are some changes in days and hours, and also a change in health care provider for 2010-2011. The clinic offers primary care and men- tal health ser- vices during Blanca Jaure, LMHC, LADAC the school year, and limited hours during the summer. The clinic serves students, faculty and staff of Lordsburg Municipals Schools The clinic will be open at times listed below for primary care and mental health services: Mondays: Primary Health Care 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Mental Health 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. ] p.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesdays Primary Health Care 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Mental Health 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. The new health care provider at the School-Based Health Cen- ter is Meredith Moss. PA-C. Meredith joined HMS in mid- April 2010 and. in addition to working at the School-Based Lordsburg High School campus Health Center, will also see pa- in early January, 2010. Meredith Moss, PA-C tients at the HMS Lordsburg Clinic. Ms. Moss resides in Lordsburg. Prior to becoming a Physi- cian Assistant, Ms. Moss worked in the data processing field, for over 20 years. She has worked as a Physician Assistant, mostly in primary care, for the past ten years, and is committed to caring for medically underserved individu- als. She studied to become a Phy- sician Assistant at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA and re- ceived a bachelor's degree from Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia. Ms. Moss worked in a fron- tier region in Alaska before mov- ing to New Mexico in 2008. The mental health provider will continue to be Blanca Jaure. LMHC, LADAC. She began Work- ing with students at the School- Based HeaRh Center on the Ms. Jaure received her Masters degree in Counseling and Educa- tional Psychol- ogy from New Mexico State University in 2008. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psy- chology, as well as Chemi- cal Depen- dency, graduat- ing cum laude from Western New Mexico Uni- versity. Ms. Jaure has worked with diverse populations in many dif- ferent settings and has experience working with tinnily systems, and with children as well as adults. She is recognized by the State of New Mexico as a Licensed Men- tal Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC ~. The Lordsburg School- Based Health Center. located on the L~ordsburg High School cam- pus, is a partnership of Hidalgo Medical Services.
