High school seniors in New Mexico should ask their high school counselors for information or visit www.danielsfund.org. The dead- line to apply is Nov. 30. 2010. In establishing the Daniels Fund, cable pioneer Bill Daniels directed the Daniels Scholarship program to seek out promising students with financial need whose academic performance may not necessarily reflect their potential, but who demonstrate strength of character, academic performance or promise, leader- ship potential, a well-rounded personality and potential to con- tribute to one's community. To be eligible to apply-a stu- dent must be a current high school student with an expected graduation during the 2010-2011 academic school year. Students must be nominated by a desig- nated Referral Agency - high schools and youth serving agen- cies that have been selected to participate in the Daniels Schol- arship nomination process.
